Because an electrical plug is not certified in the same way as a sofa, and the services of a removal firm are assessed differently from the performance of a construction product, there is not one but 13 certification bodies involved in delivering NF Certification.
AFNOR Certification has mandated 12 bodies, all highly specialized in their field, all subject to competence and impartiality requirements and all totally independent with respect to the manufacturers and service providers.
These certification bodies are themselves supported by a network of laboratories, inspection bodies and competent auditors.
